Tingling, Burning, Itching scrotum, slight pain in penis after ejaculation

About three days or so after protected sex with another girl I started to feel a tingling, itching, burning sensation in my scrotum. The skin appears to be red and tighter. I saw my doctor and he said it definitely wasn't an STD and looked to be irritation. I purchased Lotrimin cream for jock itch and it has seamed to help a little but the problem is still there. Other than the conditions I've described there hasn't been anything else wrong. I'm starting to doubt that it's jock itch based on the little relief that I've felt. Any ideas?

It was protected sex so odds are it's not std related.

Ar eyou applying the lotrimin 2-3x/day ? You need to do it for a full week after symptoms disappear too.
