Is this Herpes? Waiting for results
Please someone tell me there is a chance this is just some bacterial infection!
May 19 - sex with new bf, no protection (I know). I fell asleep right after and did not get up and clean/shower etc as I normally would. About 3 hrs later my lower vagina area felt sooo irritated and raw. Burning when peeing, as if there was a cut.
The next day I noticed a spot at the very top of my labia as I was searching around, on the inside. It looks like a canker sore. Does not hurt at all, the entire area is just very itchy.
I went to gyno this morning, she said urine shows a little blood so def have a bladder infection. She also saw the small sore and tested for Herpes. I wanted to die. She asked if it hurt, I said no. Other than itchy, I wouldn't have known it was there if I didnt search around looking.
She also said there is some tearing, so combined with bladder infection... hence the burning when peeing.
Does this also sound like Herpes??? My initial thought was that the timing was too much coincidence and maybe just a result of sex and not peeing/ cleaning after. But I'm freaked out about the sore.
Again it doesn't hurt, no flu like symptoms, nothing. Just itchy and the raw feeling and burning from peeing mostly.
She prescribed Valtrex anyway, and did a swab and blood test too. Now I'm left to agonize for 3 days waiting.
Could this be something other than Herpes?? Praying to god it's not.

Dr called. Tests came back negative for yeast infection/bv/trioch. Now I'm terrified it's Herpes.

It could be many things. 3 hours was to soon for any std to start to show. Your odds (if he has hsv) for contraction is roughly 1 in a 1000. All you can do is wait for the results

Of course it could be from years ago she said, but would I experience an outbreak coincidentally at that time? Do herpes lesions generally hurt to the touch?
We did have sex 2 days prior, but protected.
As Chris mentioned its way to early for symptoms from a recent infection and im sure all of this is as you suspect a reaction from the sex. Basicly you have an injury
The sore is throwing me off. It looks just like a canker sore. Doesn't hurt at all though, just makes the area itchy. That is what making me think dreaded Herpes. I should have known better.
A new infection from herpes would take a week or so for a sore to appear and in almost all case, esp with HSV2 flu like symptoms would have appeared shortly there after, so please take a new infection from herpes out of the equation.
