Weird pimple-like bumps spreading- PLEASE HELP

Probably about two months ago I noticed a small pimple like bump next to my belly button. Since then it has spread downward toward my pubic hair area and up the shaft of my penis. I am 18 years old, and have had unprotected sex in the past. I am going to the doctor tomorrow, but is there any chance that isn't herpes? I think that it probably is herpes but i dont understand why the bumps would be all around my abdomin region and spreading downards. I'm scared to death, I'm already depressed as it is, and I don't know how I would take this. I've looked up everything from yeast infection, to lice, ingrown hair folicles to anything but I have no idea what I'm reading. Can someone give me any idea at what I may have?

Take a deep breath, dear - you'll be fine. This doesn't sound much like herpes. You could have contracted the virus at your belly button, but it would have required a portal (cut, wound, tear) and contact with an area of an infected partner's skin that active virus was on, for it to enter your body. HSV requires skin-to-skin contact to transmit.

See your doctor, and don't stress until then. Good luck to you.

Thank you to both of you, I was really worried for a little while. I went to the doctor today and she told me that it was some long medical term that started with an M that I don't remember. She said it is curable though, and that I shouldn't worry. I have an appointment at the dermatologist for Friday to get medication for it. Thank you again to both of you, you don't understand how much relief I have, It means a lot.

Hi, its too high up to be herpes and also if it was it would be considered a recurrent outbreak as is coming from a nerve ganglion meaning you have had genital out breaks before. New infections dont show up  in that area so often as the first outbreak would be in the genital area where contact was made.
Of course only testing would be conclusive and a swab of the area would be be but should be taken within 48 hours after occuring.
If the doc does swab it make sure its the bottom area which is new. and also have a herpes select blood test as a backup..
In my experience these type of running infections often start out from a irritation from either your underwear waistband or washing soap and we tend to scratch the area when sleeping with dirty finger nails which causes it to spread.
do let us know what the doc says.
