What is this?

About 4 days after I woke up and it burned to urinate and I had open sores about 5-6 varying in sizes around my shaft. The urethera would be stuck together throughout heyday but didn't see discharge coming out. Got test that day for gonorrea and clyamidia and they gave me shot and pills well I put neosporin and a band aid on them and a couple hours later I took the bandaid off and tiny red bumps were around the sores now and they were irritated and it inflamed one spot. It's been now about 10 days and still have these symptoms got a culture test done two days ago for herpes and was given valtrex to try during the mean time. Will post pics but what do you think could cause this??

No further comment. Your doctor should be your main source of information and treatment from here on. Good luck.

I also have noticed today some slight pain in the testicles can this be from herpes as well?

Just live a normal life -- no restrictions on diet, exercise, or anything else. Except of course no sex for the time being. And you'll need to speak to your partner about your infection so s/he can be aware and perhaps take precautions.

Don't put anything at all on the lesions. Just keep them clean and as dry as possible. For sure don't use DMSO. If it's herpes, pain etc will start to improve within a couple days of starting valacyclovir (Valtrex), so just hang in there. (Prompt improvement will help confirm the diagnosis of herpes.)

Whether or not you had systemic symptoms really doesn't make any difference one way or the other. Fever, headache, etc occur only about half the time in new HSV infections.

I did feel a little sick about 2 days ago for like a couple hours and then had a stiff neck until I ate something but I'm also using amoxicillin and tramadol for a couple teeth I had pulled which I think the tramadol made me sick

Most of the regulars on this forum aren't medical professionals and don't look at posted photos of lesions, rashes, etc. But from your description, it is very likely you have newly acquired genital herpes. Your symptoms and the time course are typical and you can safely assume you have it, even if the culture is negative -- since it apparently was done quite late after onset.

If the culture is positive, make sure they type the virus -- it's important to know whether it's HSV1 and 2, but sometimes labs don't take that step unless specificallly requested. If the culture negative, have an HSV IgG blood test now and again in several weeks; you should expect negative now and positive later, for the causative virus type.

Hi, with the burning while urinating and sticking together at 4 days post exposure unprotected vaginal sex would surely imply an std. This would not be related to the shaft sores however but more of a topical bacterial infection or herpes. But if your partner did not have any genital sores at the time, herpes would be very low risk of acquiring from a one time affair.

You can have the sores swabbed for herpes or a blood test at the 8 week mark as a good indicator but very often proceeding a genital outbreak there would be flu type symptoms as well.

Also putting neospoirn which is a petro based oitment will cause exactly what is happening to you. Never put this on genital irritations.
