Yeast infection or... please help me

I historically have had severe anxiety re: stds even when I've had zero exposure. Thankfully the ladies at the clinic are nice & understanding. I made love all night last Friday which made me sore. My partner & I were tested prior to having unprotected sex which we've been doing for a few months. I was still a little sore Sunday and then I started itching & had thick white discharge. I used to suffer years ago w bv & yeast which stopped when I was switched to a monophasic bc pill. I knew right away ok I'm sore like I'm getting yeast. I usually take acidophilus pills but ran out several days prior to that fri night. By Wednesday my symptoms got a lil worse so I found a diflucan pill which sadly expired in 2009. I called the clinic, nurse said it sounds like yeast. I haven't gone in bc I just started a new job. Anyway on Tuesday I freaked bc I noticed bumpiness all ard the entrance to my vag. After searching online I've realized these are hymenal remnants, they appear on both sides in a linear pattern.  I nvr noticed them before bc I've nvr looked this closely at my vag before. These areas haven't changed in appearance since I noticed them almost a week ago. My symptoms have lessened quite a bit. I've been inserting plain yogurt and taking acidophilus pills every day. The symptoms aren't totally gone - I'm still a lil sore & itchy. My discharge hasn't been too bad. I inspect my vag w a magnifying mirror a few times a day which causes me to be more irritated from touching :( I checked a lil which ago and barely noticed inside my vag there's the tiniest speck. I can barely see it. About half a cm away is another tiny speck. I almost died. Ive read a lot about yeast bumps. When I touched the spots I felt nothing at all and the area doesn't tingle, burn, or itch. My soreness & itching is being felt at the entrance to my vag and to a slight extent thelabia minor. The tiny specks are comparable maybe to taste buds. I have an annual appt at the clinic on the 10th but I'm making myself sick w worry. I am going to try to move the appt up to asap even tho I hate to miss work after just starting. Can someone pls help me, does this seem like yeast bumps or yeast infection? I am so tired of being overwhelmed w worry :(

we treat trich the same as we do bv.

diflucan takes a few days to work actually, not a few hours. perhaps it was just irritation going on more than anything?

no more self treating, be seen every single time you have symptoms for a proper exam and testing to try to get to the bottom of this all.

Dr said everything looked fine, red spot was irritation. She believed I had an external yeast infection. After checking my wet mount she saw "2" Trich cells (I guess) so I'm being treated for Trich.

We were both tested for everything. The whole gamut. And I have had better luck treating bv with yogurt than this yeast infection. I became sore last night at bedtime. I took another diflucan around 9pm and my symptoms practically disappeared a few hrs later. This morning I am not nearly as red. I can only find 1 tiny red bump now.

vaginal yogurt isn't very effective at treating yeast.

did you and your partner have herpes testing done as your std testing prior to starting to have sex? if you aren't sure, both of you should call where you were tested at and ask.

best thing to do is to be seen and get a proper exam. you've spent a lot of time worrying yourself instead of following up for more accurate answers :(
