High IGG HSV2 results with very few symptoms

I tested positive for HSV 2. My IGG test came back high ( 22 ) but I have never had a traditional Herpes outbreak - no blisters at all. Could something went wrong with my testing? is this common? thanks for your help.

There is always a minor risk of transmission. However the combination of antivirals, condoms and avoiding outbreaks reduces transmission chances as much as you feasibly can.

Do you think that I am presently at risk to pass the virus? I've been on valtrex for over a month.

This would confirm you carry both viruses. Most probably orally for HSV1 and genitally for HSV2. It is not uncommon to not experience symptoms as appears to be the case for you.

Yes 2 separate results with a 1.1 cutoff.  They were both high 26/22. Any insight?

OK stay with this. Did you get two separate results for HSV1 and HSV2? What were they?

Is 1.1 the cutoff for positive for these tests?

I tested positive for both hsv 1-2. I have been on valtrex for a month but still have some itching and 3 red bumps with white heads around my penis head. I've never had any blisters

Is this an index test where >1.1 is positive or another type of test, such as one with results expressed in Ru/mL for example.

Often people with an established HSV1 infection will not know they are infected with HSV2. Does this apply to you?
