blisters / brown marks

I'm a 33 year old male.
I had not been with a girl since my ex girlfriend in a year, and before that had been a few years so only slept 2 girls past few years.

I had sex with a girl on New Years day this year with a new partner and she also gave me oral sex (no condom) a few days before on our first date.

On Saturday 1/17 I gave the new girl oral sex and we had sex. The condom was off when I finished when I turned on the light and I noticed it was not on and laying in between her legs. I took a shower and didn't talk about it. We had sex a few more times that day. Later that night I went out and made out with a random girl I met at a club (kisses).

On Monday 1/20 late night I was out and had a really awesome looking girl give me her phone number. I was drinking and later that night I decided I wanted to get a massage and a hand job. The lady doing the hand job asked me if I wanted to kiss her. I did. Her kiss tasted kind of bad to me but I didn't say anything. She later asked me if I wanted oral sex. I said yes. She licked my testicles, my but, and gave me oral sex for about 30 minutes, then she massaged my body for another 15 minutes as I was falling asleep. I turned down having real sex with her.

On Wednesday 1/22, my mouth was bothering me. I thought it might be chapped lips but later that night I was telling friends about the oral sex from my girlfriend. One friend told me he doesn't do that because it's risky.

I was putting chap stick on my mouth the whole night. When I got home my mouth seemed to be burning pretty badly. When I woke up I though I would be fine but I looked in the mirror and saw a small brown spot on the bottom of my lip. I picked at a bit and it came off, looked like it might be a blister. I was reading about oral herpes and my symptoms seemed to match. My mouth seemed to be tingling pretty badly and then I saw a mark, a brown mark, which I wasn't sure what it was but it alarmed me enough to go see my doctor.

1/23 I went in to see my doctor. He looked at me but said he couldn't tell if I had oral herpes because I peeled the mark off. He told me I probably have herpes and prescribed me ACYCLOVIR. I went online and ordered a test on healthcheck usa and got tested for STDs and the IGG herpes 1 and 2 test.

The next day 1/24 I noticed a small brown mark inside of my mouth, and I touched it with a piece of tissue and it rubbed off and there was a blister in my mouth. The past few days I've been licking my mouth a lot and putting on chap stick constantly because I guess my lips are drying out or something. I also bought abreva and used that the past week.

1/28 Today I noticed the inside of my mouth was stinging a bit and I checked it and I noticed a few likely blisters (white or clear). I decided to pick up the ACYCLOVIR and have been taking it.

Questions:

1. What should I learn from this. What parts of my behavior are high risk?

a. Kissing the sex worker (I won't do that again for sure)

b. I'm skeptical about having oral sex given to me now unless I know the person well.

c. I now need to be more careful with condoms as one fell off. Maybe I should have the light on when having sex.

d. Should I be very cautious about giving oral sex?

Before I thought that kissing and oral sex were not risky behaviors at all.

2. Is this just very likely HSV 1 that's bothering my mouth?

3. I haven't noticed any issues on my genitals.

4. Any other suggestions. The test results probably won't reflect anything recent right?

5. Should I be concerned about the blisters in my mouth?

6. Do I need to go back in to see a doctor again anytime soon? My doctor didn't know about the blisters in my mouth as i didn't know about that yet when I went in. Also, there was no privacy there and I also wasn't totally comfortable because I felt like I was being rushed when I was trying find out what I should do.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help out. I've been having a rough week. I've been very upset and stressed.

I was tested for HSV1 and HSV 2 and all STDs a few years ago and everything turned up negative. I have only had one girlfriend since then and did not date at all until about a month ago. I try to be very cautious and safe.

3 month post exposure would be conclusive.

My blood test results show that I don't have anything showing up at this time for hsv 1 or 2 based on an igg test.

How long after possible infection, until test results would be accurate for blood tests for hsv 1 or hsv 2?

Not common and if there was no lip sore at the time the odds would be close to zero from a one time affair.

Hi, contracting herpes from simple mouth kissing is more a risk for young children whose immune systems are not fully  developed but for adults would need more like romantic kissing with rubbing to force the virus into the nerve and if she did not have any lip sore present at the time the odds you contracted herpes would be close to zero from this one time affair.

First time oral outbreaks of  herpes sore inside it mouth is possilbe but with the simple kissing, the outbreak would have been on the lip.

Oral sex is fairly low risk activity as the mouth contains enzimes that are a hostile enviornment for bacteria.
Do let us know your test result.
