confused about diagnosis

I am an uncircumcised male. I saw blisters that eventually turned into lesions on one side of penis in November 2007 and went to see my doc who advised me that it looked like herpes.I was put on valtrex and did  a blood test three days after and the Igg and Igm results came back negative. The blisters came back about a month after and then i did a culture and results came back three weeks ago revealing yeast and staph bacteria.I was given diflucan for the yeast for me and my girlfriend and augmentin 625mg for the staph.Meanwhile on treatment the blisters came back on same side of penis but moving closer to head of penis. My girlfriend also did a blood test-results came back a week ago showing positive Igg test.So i also did another blood test and am awaiting results.I have always had unprotected sex with my g/friend unless there is some indication of blisters just to be safe even though i have read that there can asymptomatic transmission. My question is: is it possible for my girlfriend to be hsv positive and me negative?and is it that her test could be flawed? Thanks in advance.

It means you both have hsv2.  It's not really an issue in your current relationship since you say she also tested + for hsv2.

Feel free to ask any other questions you might have.

No need to post the exact post in 2 forums. pick either the std or the herpes forum and stick with it.

At this point until you both have your test results back there isn't much we can do.  Post them on one of the boards when you get them. Also if you can get the numerical results of your gf's tests that will be more helpful - ie hsv1 igg 3. 6 and hsv2 igg 3. 7 or whatever they are.
