A good thing to try might be zinc sulfate cream. You can get it on Amazon. I too have nearly constant outbreaks, and even though I often don't get actual sores I can feel the virus active in that area. Since using the cream it actually gave me a horrible outbreak at first but then seems to be making my nearly constant symptoms go away. For me it seemed like the virus would go partially dormant in that area and thus never leave and the zinc helps push it away. Just use a small amount and make sure to rub it in fully so its not too moist. Might be worth a shot.
Hi there,
Strainuous exercise will cause outbreaks. Avoid protein shakes, and avoid staying in wet/ damp underwear after working out. Spinning will also trigger outbreaks especially during or right before your menstruation. Also lookup articles on Foods high in Arginine which u should diminish.
Be well, and stay positive!
try acyclovir 400mg 3x/day then.
follow up with a dermatologist then if you don't have vaginitis issues going on. Odds are this is something else going on .

yes, all tests done and all hsv2 positive, others negative. about taking valtrex 2x daily - too expensive for me.
well, seems that i just have to wait for the science to develop far enough to be able to find the cure :)

At this point, try taking valtrex 500mg 2x/day ( at the very least you should be on 1gm daily but taking it 2x/day might be what you need ).
have you had lesion cultures of your symptoms to confirm that they are all due to hsv2? Have they also tested you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too?

hi Grace, thanks for the reply. i have seen doctors for second, third and even 7th opinion. and they call these doctors specialists... including my family doctor 8 opinions alltogether and nobody knows what to do.
my symptoms, well, it all starts with this itchy feeling in the place where the lesion is about to form and then it goes quickly towards the pain. and then it takes about a week to heal. but during that time i get another itchy places and when i´m lucky, then i might finally have 1 to 2 "days off". the longest period of no lesions at all and without taking valtrex was 5 days.
so that´s about it.
thanks for taking time again :)

herpes does not cause non-stop ob's. Even when I was having 20 ob's a year, I still had definite periods in between ob's that there were no symptoms.
what sort of work up hav eyou been through so far ? have you seen a dermatologist for a 2nd opinion?
can you describe your symptoms too that you have all the time?
