hand herpes transmission

Hi Experts,

Question regarding the transmission of "hand herpes"

I was at a baseball game a few days back and went to catch a foul ball. The gentlemen sitting next to myself and I both reached up to grab for the ball without seeing each other. Our hands smacked into each other. What troubled me was as follows. I glanced over and saw the same man scratch at what appeared to be "blisters" on is fingers. If this was in fact a herpes infection, does this pose any risk of transmission? Thank you everyone for you time!

In the future please start your own thread.  Don't highjack someone else's questions.  For the record the answer is no.

I high fived my brother while he had a out break of herpes on his hands. Then I touched my eye. Will I get eye herpes?

it's not likely this is herpes on the man's hands.

you also will not contract herpes on your own hands from that brief of contact either.
