bump on lip

I kissed a girl 9 days ago and today I noticed a pimple on the corner of my mouth on the lip. It’s red and round. I can feel it when I open my mouth. Coupd this be herpes1? It’s a single pimple and dark red. I sometime shave to close and am hoping it’s just an ingrown hair.

Any insight wil be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks again. Yes it’s just one pimple thats fairly flat. This doesn’t sound like a primary infecton right? Sorry for all the questions.

Because adults if they receive a primary HSV infection do not experience a single ambiguous pimple (which as mentioned does not really seem much like a herpes lesion) but rather they have a number of painful lesions.

Thanks. So if it is, do you think it’s unlikely that I caught it from this recent episode and if so, why? Thanks again.

Doesn't sound like a cold sore, no.

If it is then you have most likely experienced a recurrent outbreak having had HSV1 probably from your youth.
