as an adult, oral herpes is almost exclusively transmitted through romantic type kisses. our immune system works well to protect us from brief exposures like this.
statistically, 1 out of every 2-3 people you know has hsv1 orally. it's incredibly common. While it's on your mind, have you and your partner had herpes testing to know your own statuses? it's not a part of routine std testing so it's possible that neither of you have ever been tested for it.

Thank you! :) I already talked to my friend and she gave me a little peace of mind. I guess I'm only being paranoid!
It's highly unlikely to get hsv1 this way.
Now it is possible if she has a cold sore that was weeping and the cold sore touched the glass and your lips touched the same spot and you had an open cut on your lips.
Now it's different for kids, they can contract hsv1 easier by sharing drinks, that's what ive heard.
Usually you contract hsv1 as a child, usually by a family member kissing you as a child!
