herpes IGG Boarderline?

Hello i am currently in india traveling and have noticed a skin irritation in the genital area. I Got it checked out with the fear of contracting herpes.
I jsut got my results and since my doctor atm is not very cooperative i have a few questions:
my values are :

HSV 1+2 IGM
10 U/mL
with 0-60 beeing negative

so i guess that i can understand as a quite clear negative
however  the HSV IgG reads :

24.0 U/ml  with 0-20 NEGATIVE, 20-30 BOARDERLINE and >30 positive

what exactly does boarderline mean ?  how do i interpret this?
i just want to add that since i have been living in a long distance relation ship for the past 4 months, i have had no protected or unprotected sexual encounters since then.

I have been together with my girlfriend for the past 1 and a half year, and when we got more serious ( since we were both virgins at that time) she took the pill and we had unprotected sex.
She does have colesaw  now and again but whenever she has had it there has been a strictly no sex.
is it possible that if  i do have herpes its from her?  in that case it would have to be  HSV1 right?

Is it still possible that it is not herpes? i have to add that i do have a little cold atm, however this could also be due to the heavy rain falls and getting very little sleep latly.

Also what should i tell her?  i am going to do a 7 day aciclovir  treatment and  after that i am going to see my doctor again.  I have asked him then for more specific tests.should i wait until i have a deffinite answer since i am not going to see her for another 2 months anyway.
however i  would really apreciate some more advice and opinions especially, on that odd 24 value.
This whole thing is really doing my head in and i have to admit im slightly afraid of what this all might mean to the rest of my life.
please help

really all you can do at this point is to continue to be seen for your symptoms.

grace, thank you for your quick reply!
so okay the IGM might not tell me anything but what about the  IGG value of 24?this still kinda throws me out.  what should i do now?

Btw the spots are redish  with kinda white spots in the middle ( i know that sounds like pimples but they are not as "bumpy" as pimples but rather like an irritation.  also i feel no pain when touching or applying  pressure, however it does itch sometimes.  this together with the cold im developing really just makes it more confusing.

you had herpes igm testing done which is pretty much a waste of time and money. you really do not know anything more about your status at this point unfortunately.

correct, it would have to be hsv1 genitally if you were both virgins when you met.

typically hsv1 genitally presents very classically - very painful and obvious lesions in the genital area, not just some irritation. it really doesn't sound like this was genital herpes going on from your description of things.
