herpes in the mouth

I recently found out that I have herpes. I have had one cold sore and it has gone away. Now, I am getting little cuts inside my mouth, mostly on the gums of my mouth.  Is there anything I can do to minimize the cuts from happening, because they are pretty painful and bother me.

Thanks for any advice

these cuts are not due to herpes. continue to follow up with your provider to find out what is going on.
