I have had cold sores before
Okay I have had coldsores before (3x) but by stress not doin oral. I haven't done that before so yea. My bf wants to give me oral and I'm scared he's gonna get a cold sore from it. Since I have had coldsores from other reasons (ithink) but noooo oral or sexual action does it mean I have both type herpes ? And will my BF get herpes once doin oral to me? Help!
It is more likely than not that he has a HSV1 infection already, in this case he is essentially at zero risk.
Only coming into contact with your oral area could spread the virus. He cannot be infected by touching any other part of you, including giving you oral sex. You can infect him only with your mouth through kissing and oral sex.
Has he had previous partners? Perhaps mutual testing might be of benefit to compare notes and understand risks?

It is very likely that you have an oral HSV1 infection. Further, you have probably had this infection since your youth. This means that your oral region carries the infection and no where else on your body. This is the case for 60% of the population.
If there is a cold sore active, as you say often appearing at stressful times for your body, then you are somewhat infectious and should avoid contact with the cold sore.
At other times, there is a chance the virus is shedding on your lips and may be passed through kissing or giving oral sex. This happens rarely, provided your partner does not have a HSV1 infection already. Many people with an oral HSV1 infection do not know it as they have no memory of any outbreaks.

I never gave anyone oral, I just get cold sores on my lips from stress... My bf doesn't have herpes but will he get cold sores or herpes since I have had cold sores before. Again I haven't done oral to anyone, and yea..
No I get them on my lip, not ... Down there. Just cold sores on my lips. Above my top lip. So does this mean my bf can't get them? Like I'm not infected ?
If you have the HSV virus, it causes cold sores for reasons internal to your body and not directly through actions or activities you engage in. The virus infects just one site usually, in this case being your oral area.
