possibility of herpes?

hello

Im a male of 25.  My question is about herpes.  I kissed a girl last year in July.  I got two big white sores on my lower and upper gums just after one week and i insisted that the girl get tested for herpes.  She was herpes negative at the time we kissed. (She tested just 1 week after we kissed.)  Also she had no apparent lesions nor any sores during that time.

Then again i kissed another girl in 7th december 2010.  Her herpes status was unknown... she told me she had no herpes history and never had a cold sore.

I got tested on  9th April 2011(4 months past last exposure) and my results were NEGATIVE FOR HSV1 and NEGATIVE  FOR HSV2.  The method used was Elisa.

Since three days i have a kind of white sore surrounded by a red rim near my upper inside cheek...its already healing and was painful only when i saw it three days ago... yesterday i got a very tiny one near my lower front gum..but not on it..its on what is as the Vestibular part... its around 2mm...  there has never been any blisters... i checked regularly these past days... they just appeared like that.

Today morning i saw a small swollen lymph on my neck, around 1cm... I was tired and was feeling cold yesterday... I may have got flu by then... (its common around this time)... I am freaked out...

Do i have a possibility of herpes? Should i be tested more after the 4months negative Elisa test?
Please help me... i am freaked out and worried.. i have LLM exams in 3 days and stress is blowing me apart...

you were tested outside of the US with a test that I am not familiar enough with to comment on. I really can't help you with your test results at all.  Depending on the test, depends on the accuracy of the detection of herpes. I suggest you seek out a support group in your area who hopefully is more familiar with the test you had done.

meanwhile, if you are concerned about symptoms, be seen by your doctor and have them looked at.

also note that the results are: HSV1 - 3.0 and HSV2 - 5.0.... Positive being above 15.
