Test result confusion

Hi Grace--I posted a couple months back but am posting again because I got some tests done. Here is what I have so far:
I have only been with 3 partners ever and have NEVER had intercourse, just body contact and kissing mostly. I decided to get an STD test in May as a part of a routine physical. Test came back positive for HSV1 & 2...I didn't have any symptoms or anything, quite a shock really. The doc said that since my HSV1 value was quite high it may have skewed my HSV2 value. She recommended I get tested again, 6 weeks later. So 2 months later I got tested and it did infact come back positive again. So right now i'm dealing with it (quite well really).

So now I decided to reach out to the 3 partners I was with, all of them got tested and all of them came back negative. So now im going to go back to my doctor and request the Western Blot test done.

I really don't think that the people I were with would lie to me, but im just confused about what is going on here. Have you seen this before? Thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks
