how long does urination pain last in 1st herpes outbreak?

I am on day 6 of 1st outbreak of herpes. I learn tommorrow if it is 1 or 2...but the pain is excrucitaing!!! I would kill myself if not for fact I must parent my daughter. She thinks I only have urinary infection! I want to scream every hour!!! It hurts to sit. HOW LONG does this level 10 pain last? I can't bear it anymore. I was given misdiagnosis by ER doctor who only lowered my temp and gave antibiotic but missed most of bllod tests. Gyn knew from symptoms over phone! I am taking generic version of best pill...but she said it may be less effective!  I have NEVER had this kind of torure upon my body before. Is there anything else I can do or take? I am taking ex str tyl arthritus 3/day...but when does antibiotic and herpes meds "kick" in???? I have enough for 3 more days. All I can think of is turning up my music loud and screamimg so neighbors don't hear me. I have no money nor emotional support.. Please tell me how others cope with urine pain. Is my case normal???

Thanks! I feel like my pain went from a ten(worst) to a 5 today! I tried yourwater solution and you are a lifesaver! My doctor is off today-but I am sure it is #1. My bf 's doctor said not to worry and not to liss during outbreak...yeah-well he didn't have ANY symptoms!!!!  I am mentally 100% better which helps. Just hard to sit for lengths of time=lie down mostly. I am upset one site said to avoid oats-which I eat every morning with yogurt=argh. I am thankful to not be working so I can take care of myself. Thanks immensely for your help and concern. Oh- My bf never had cold sores nor his ex, and I didn't either...but not sure of my ex. My mom and dau (adopted) do get cold sores years apart, so maybe I was the dormant one???? This is so confusing.

A primary outbreak is generally the worst and probably got this bad because you were not given an Antiviral at the onset of the outbreak,it is difficult to say how long this will last but I'm sure after 6days it will be starting to back off if the pain is mostly during urination pour warm water over the sores during urination to dilute the urine and lessen the stinging,for pain take an everyday painkiller.
You need to speak to your Doctor about prescribing an Antiviral you can take as soon as you feel you may have the beginnings of an outbreak.
