Could it be HSV1

Hi,

I have dry lips with some discomfort around the lower lips. Generally my lips are dry and i have to use chap stick.
It's been more then 2-3 days now but no blisters visible.

My worry for HSV1 is because i was kissed on my lips by an unkown lady in a club 3 months back. We just got friends there, she had few drinks and then it happened. No symptoms since then.

I never knew about HSV1 before, but 2 days back i went to a Tantra massage lady. During the session however she gave me oral for about 30 seconds. I was in a state of shock as it was not expected. However she swear by God that she is clean. But she never touch my lips. So the current problem seems unrelated.

I'm so scared now. I dont go to prostitutes, but usually had casual fun at clubs. But after reading about the dreadly Herpes I won't ever go near any unknown woman.

Please guide could my lower lip discomfort be HSV1 infection?  If yes does it mean my kid will also get it. Will it ruin my future life.? I have been worrying a lot since last 2-3 days and when i'm talking to friends or working i forget everything, absolutely no discomfort. But when alone at home i keep on thingking about HSV and feels all kind of discomfort. There are no blisters on my lips and genitals. I did my last blood checkup in Apr this year and everything was clean. Never had any chronic or contageous disease.

statistically 1 out of every 2-3 people you've ever kissed in a lifetime has had hsv1 orally. do you typically worry about it like this?

Thanks Grace. I just want to know if I was exposed to oral herpes from the first encounter 3 months back, would the first ob had happened till now? i heard the first symptoms show during the first 2- 20 days. I plan to go for HSV blood test next year to be 100% sure. But for the immediate peace of mind I want to know it, i have a good immune system so is it possible i would have survived the first exposure?

you have a history of chapped lips. dry lips isn't a sign of herpes.
