is it herpes or just a boil?

Hi!
So I had sex for the first time 2.5 years ago and haven't had sex with anyone since. I was with the guy for 2.5 months and found out he was unfaithful. Being extremely paranoid I got myself checked thrice (twice in 2006 and once this year in april-may time) since then  and all the tests came back negative and everything looked normal. However, when I went for my test early on this year, the nurse who did the pap smear said it looked like I had an ectropion, which I thought was odd seeing as how I wasn't pregnant, in my teens or on the oral contraceptive. But the doctor who I then spoke to said it was normal. My pap smear came back negative as well. But over the past 2.5 years, I have had continuous vaginal discharge. Everytime I get checked up they tell me its either thrush or bacterial vaginosis and treat me for it but it comes back again with the next period. Also, I have IgA nephropathy and have been on  low dose immunosuppressant (mycophenolate mofetil 250 mg twice daily) for the past 1.5 years.

4 days ago, I noticed a little bump in on my labia minora. and I thought maybe it was a boil and tried to break it. It is now pus filled and looks like a zit. its just the one. I have no tingling or itching tho there is some pain now after i messed abt with it which is kinda like the pain i feel with zits anywhere.  I am wondering if I have herpes and if in fact the ectropion is also due to herpes?

With being on the immunosuppressants you are more prone to overgrowth of vaginal bacteria :(  Talk to your provider about taking a much longer course of treatment for whatever you are diagnosed with when you are seen this week to try to get rid of it for once and for all ( depending on if it's yeast or bv depends on which medication they can put you on longer term ).

You need to go back and be seen and get a proper evaluation of what's going on this time since it's new symptoms. If you've never been tested for herpes with a type specific herpes igg blood test and want to be - ask about it.  To me if it's on your mind, get the blood test so that you know if you even have to be concerned about it being herpes or not.

Sometimes it just su cks being female  down yonder :(
