disagreeing is fine but as said just because certain natural remedies have not been clinically proven doesn't mean that others are not going to swear by it. Im not talking about experts but just people in general. Just as any websites that are .com or .net generally cant be trusted as its just taking info from other sites. Anything .org,.edu, .gov all have the facts/info that has been studied/proven.  Im just sharing an article I happened to see I don't say that what it states would work.  Im just happy that there are studies going on.

Sorry to disagree, but the evidence is very clear that such "natural" remedies (like lysine) are entirely ineffective. OTOH, the data on acyclovir and related drugs is very strong -- they work.

When a disease has highly variably manfiestations, and when there is often stigma or other emotional implications, self-interpretation of what works and what doesn't is highly unreliable. Probably the worst way to decide how to treat herpes is to spend time on websites dominated by personal testimony. You will be less likely to be misled if you stick with professionally run sites. Among those, I would recommend the American Sexual Health Association (www.ashasexualhealth.org), CDC (www.cdc.gov/std), and the Westover Heights Clinic of Portland, OR, which is directed by Terri Warren, moderator of MedHelp's herpes expert forum (www.westoverheights.org).

Im kinda finding what works for some doesn't work for everyone. So many different opinions on what works for certain people ie: some swear by lysine although it hasn't been proven others say acyclovir. Just like food triggers some say eat whatever you want as again not proven that certain foods cause ob's. As with anything in this world to each their own.  If whatever you do to control your symtoms and it works for you great if not hopefully something else will ☺

Thanks. Sorry to dampen your apparent enthusiasm, but I would not expect this product to be effective in treating herpes.
