I'm afraid I must contradict some of the comments on this thread. Herpes can present on the head of the penis. Also, condoms only provide about 30% protection against transmission. Herpes can present in a number of ways and in a number of different forms. This does not mean that what you have is due to herpes.

Finally, you will want to wait about 4 months after exposure if you want to get an accurate result from a blood test, as that's how long it can take for antibodies to generate enough to trigger a positive result. Ask for a reliable blood test, either the IgG (good, especially if you ask for something other than the ELISA) or the Western Blot (best).

Another thing to be sure to do: if you get a new bump on your penis, go and have it swabbed right away for HSV, and ask to have the lab identify the Type. Good luck to you.

Hi its to soon. 2 months would give you a better indicator but it doesnt appear herpes related as herpes are not red dots with puss but a blister type with clear fluid.

Hi. if you used a condom for both then your penis tip would have prevented any std from entering so would not be herpes related. Also herpes sores develop on the shaft not the head.
