Hi,

There is a good chance this isn't herpes.  It is standard practice sometimes for doctors to test to make sure.  You should be relieved that they did test as this will be a clear simple answer.  Some people have to wait for the test.  Given you having a single boyfriend and him being the only one you have had for a while chances of it being HSV is low.

You may already have HSV-1 as most of the adult us popluation has it. Both of you being checked wouldn't hurt with a blood test.

Like was said before me.  Bumps can be anything including just normal things.

Hey, i do nnot know how long it has been there. and I do have a bf that i have been with for 5 yrs  going on 6 yrs in a few months, i have not been with any1 else but him.  it does not hurt, just scared that it was herpes.  but thank you for your comment, it reassured me :)  my mother has herpes and she said it would hurt like hell and i would not be able to sit down.  and i can sit without hurting.  so you dont think that it is herpes or gonherrea?  I thank you once again,. please write me back when you get the chance.

Thank you
Jodi

Remember that you went into the walk in clinic and had it examined and they said it looks like a plain old pimple.  They see herpes every day of the week there, remember.  It could be a little sebaceous cyst etc.  Much more likely than herpes.  Does it hurt?  Has it changed?  How long has it been there? Have you had unprotected sex with a few partners?  You do not say what your risk was.   It doesn't sound like herpes to me either because it seems that you've had it for a little while.  Keep an eye on it and it should go soon.  If you had gonorrhea you would have an unpleasant discharge.  Believe me, you'd know!  If you still can't deal with it, go and have a blood test.
