Could I have herpes?

Last november I became very swollen in my vagina and the doctor diagnosed me with a yeast infection. I used Monistat twice and became worse after doing so. The doctor then told me it was bacterial vaginosis. I still had problems and the next doctor told me I had allergies. I have had problems since then and everytime I go to the doctor they tell me it is not herpes. In June I had a blood test done and it came back negative. Recently I went to the doctor again, because of being swollen and irritated. There was no bacteria, std's, yeast, or any herpes. Could it still be herpes, or could it be something like allergies?

befor this frist started were you sick a couple of days and then it sarted swelling ? the reason i ask is see well one night i  drank a lttle to much and the next day when i woke up i was sick. i just thought it was a hangover but after 2 days i started running a fever and i was still getting sick. this went on for almost 5 days then i noticed that when i used the bathroom it started to burn . so i looked down there to see if i had a cut or something and instead i saw little white blisters that almost looked like pimples. i freaked out and went straight to the hospitle. they examined me and took a sample. a week later they called and said i got herpes type 1.. so i would make an app. as soon as you feel the swelling comeing on again and they can take a sample and send it to the lab. like grace

It's time for a dermatology consult then if they are checking your vaginal secretions and not finding any yeast or bacterial infections at this time.

No its just really irritating and not that itching it just gets swollen for a few days and takes a while for the swelling to go back down. They checked and found no yeast

i would think if you had herpes you would know. i mean when it is irritated does it hurt so bad that you cant sit up right or even when you go to use the bathroom? to me this just sounds like a yeast infection.. im not a hundred percent sure if that is what it is but it doesnt sound like herpes

The reason I was afraid I do is they have not been able to find anything else and I read that sometimes herpes can come in the form of just swelling and irritation.

You've been following up on all of this and your providers are finding reasons for your symptoms for the most part. If you had a type specific herpes igg blood test done and it was negative, it's not likely that it's herpes causing your symptoms.  continue to follow up on this - go monthly to your gyn if you have to to get checked out and tested for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections. If those are always negative and you still have symptoms, ask for a consult to a dermatologist to try to figure out what is going on.

I think you don't sound like you have herpes at all. What in what you wrote makes you think you do?

take it from someone who has herpes. if it was herpes you would know. you would have little blisters and it is very painful. so painful that you can hardly sit down right. it burns so bad when you try to use the bathroom that you will just hold it untill you are about to pee your pants. you will sit there just crying. i think that if you had herpes you would know. my friend has herpes type 1 and she has told me how painful it is.
