uncertain

Hi Grace. I am quite uncertain about my diagnosis. 8 months ago after possible exposure i was tested with an igg test. the result read as positive for hsv 2 and i only did the test 1 month post exposure. And another suspicious thing is the igg used is not a type specific or serologic test. After my risky exposure i started to experience burning and pain while urinating, unbearable pain under the foreskin and especially the frenulum part. i also had white discharge with odor smell under the small skin. there is a whitish pimple on the penile head but it disappear in a week or less. the symptom actually lasted 3 weeks without any antiviral. i was prescribed with only antibiotics by the doctor. Ok and there was itch on the penile head after the symptom is gone. Am i right to doubt on my status? And should proceed with another test?

usually you don't get fevers with recurrences of herpes.

your symptoms could be herpes but they also could be many other things so following up with the right blood testing is the best course of action to pursue.

What about serologic type test? so my symptom is suspicious. i also develop a low grade fever during the outbreak. In hsv, is fever typically high?

you need to repeat your testing with type specific herpes igg blood testing to know your status.

there's no such thing as a herpes diet either. the lysine/arginine theory of herpes was disproven a long time ago.  the vast majority of folks with genital herpes do not have food triggers.

if you have obvious symptoms, be seen and follow up on them properly too. herpes doesn't cause discharge under your foreskin.

And i had try many ways to trigger an outbreak like consuming coffee, spicy foods, peanuts and not sleeping for a day. I was so run and i only ended up with catching cold instead of outbreak. and till now i havent had any outbreak yet.
