small bumps no pus on palms of hands

Ok so i have small bumps on the palms on my hands and up my fingers and was wondering if it was herpes because I was told i have genital herpes on my vajj since 2011 from an old boyfriend :( smh it appears no more than 4 times a year in the same spot anyway i always wash my hands after using  the toilet and even when i shower im constantly washing my hands (way more times than before) cuz i have 3 children at home and i don't want to pass them it by mistake. Now i went to the e.r and the doc told me that the rash on my hands were dermatitis and that it wasn't contagious now so far its only me that has it (the rash on my palms and fingers) it doesn't itch its just dry and it felt/feels like rug burn.. if anyone by chance can help me i would surely appreciate it thanks.... :)

I've looked at a lot of pictures online (pretty much i was doing my own research) and the pictures that they show look nothing like the the small non pus dry patches on my palms it doesn't look like whitlow or even a allergic reaction to be honest... its hard cause i don't hold my kids hands or anything for in case its something that is contagious so i have my mom helping me out with things i just want to get back to my life... bad enough i just came to terms on excepting that i have herpes.... one step at a time i guess.... and Thank you very much....

Hi and your doctor is correct. Herpes wont appear on the hands like this. There is one strain of herpes that can show up on the fingers but its so rare its hardly brought up as a concern. Its called herpetic whitlow.
