strange redness on glans penis and rash on hand

Approximately 2 months ago had unprotected oral with a woman of unknown status.   The very next day noticed slight redness on the right side of penis head rim.  I didn't think much of it other than friction.  A week later it was still there and anxiety took hold.  Went to a doctor who said it was nothing at all.  A few day later, after having protected sex with someone of known status to be healthy, I noticed that tip of my penis near the opening was also a slightly different shade red.  When penis is is soft, it is not as noticeable at all.  There is no burning, tingling or itching of any kind.   No irritation when urinating either.   It has now been 40 days since I noticed the redness and it is still there.  If i get an erection, it is much more noticeable, sometimes appears to be a few separate patches of redness.  The skin however, does not look raised or appear to be any lesions.

A week ago, I noticed the my left palm didn't real right and i noticed patches of redness, small pinpoints dots, with tingling and slight itchiness.  The pinprick dots haven't really changed in the last week, except to appear to fade away. I can still some of them however with slight itching in the area.  It does not really look like anything I found on the web for skin rashes.

Long story short ( i apologize), could it be possible that I have some herpes on my penis from this oral encounter, even though there are no characteristic signs of herpes, other than redness?  And moreso, is it possible that I passed this to the palm of my hand by masturabating or touching my penis, even though it does not appear anything like what I see on my genitals.

If anyone has any insight that would be greatly appreciated.  Earliest I could get back to the doctor is next tuesday, so I am afraid and anxious waiting unitl then.

Thank you very much for your response.   I sort of got over the rendness around 5 weeks since it has been there, not really changed at all.... It was when my hand developed the rash when anxiety really took hold....   To me, that was it... All my fears were confirmed....  Your assurance that i did not spread possible genital herpes to my hand really has helped relieve my anxiety... I can probably enjoy the weekend now....

BTW - I wasn't completely clear in my initial post. When i first saw the doctor it was about the redness on the right side of the penis rim.  He immediately said it was nothing and not to worry.  He said that it was more likely I could have gotten gonorrhea if anything... Anyways, that redness did disappear for the most part..  The redness at the tip and seemingly small red spots are still there however, and remains unchanged for the most part.  In some light you cannot even see it, but in other light and especially when erect it is visible.   For all I know it has been this way for a long period of time and I am just finding otherwise normal things because of my anxiety...

Thank you again for you help, hopefully the doctor visit on tuesday can put an end to this, because I have spent the last 7 weeks constantly focusing and rexamining not only my penis but all the facts and convincing myself of what my fate may be.

Thank you, this forum has helped me lots.

Hi there -

Its possible this is herpes on your penis, but it wouldn't be herpes on your hand.

Its also not terribly likely that your symptoms are being caused by herpes, but its good you are going to get things checked out.
