symptoms time frame

i was test for stds on 6/1/11 and came back positive for gonorrhea and negative for all other stds. i was given cipro and flaygl for bacterial on 6/7. i then started having anal burning and ithing and went back to the doctor which they beleived i had an allergic reaction to the flaygl (im allergic to diflucan as well). still having symptoms and they said it was yeast and gave me nystatin for the anal area and terconazol for vaginal. the itching and burning is not inside the anus but more perianal and is more irritated after bowel movements. i know i cant test for herpes for 3 months but would the symptoms last this long! its going on almost 2months with no relief! i also asked for an anal swab but the doc. said she didnt think it was necessary because she didnt see anything, i havent had any sores or lesions, just the itching and burning sensation, the nystatin seems to help a little but not all the way.

Perhaps it's just dryness and irritation at this point?

continue to follow up with your provider as needed.

i also wanted to add the the doc said she saw a small skin tag and a crack or split in the anus so she thinks its a hemorrhoid, i also have dry rough skin on my periananl and it kind of feels bumpy where my pubic hair is, i dont see any bumps but if i rub my finger across the dry skin it feels rough, and if i touch it or scratch it, it gets really irritated, ive tried the nystatin bc metronidozole only irritates it more. should i test for stds agian since i tested at 10weeks? my doc doesnt think i should, i was also wondering about pinworms but she hasnt suggested treatment for that. also symptoms have never gone away only gotten somewhat mild, can hsv last this long?

UPDATE! I just had std testing done at 2months 2weeks since encounter and was negative for all stds (couldnt wait the three months), i am still having the rectal and perianal itching and sometimes slight burning or irritation symptoms. my obgyn says she still see's yeast, but ive tried everything (allergic to diflucan) ! my question is, i am on birth control and was wondering is that contributing to the stubborn yeast, also ive tried to get her to check in more depth in my rectal area (hoping thats correct) just to see if it might be a hemorrhoid, fistula, or fissure as i keep reading about but she thinks its not necessary and she only sees that its red and irritated from yeast. can anybody give me some advice, im thinking about seeing another doctor! have been having symptoms for two months and happens usually after bowel movements, after showers, or any type of friction in that area from underwear

please be patient - we are all volunteers here :)

you've been seen twice now and no one saw signs of herpes.

you've had a lot of irritation in general going on down yonder, not unusual for the anal area to be included.

give this all time to clear up. you've had multiple infections and reactions going on and it will take time to get better.
