I have some questions regarding testing. I posted here before and received some hope, but now I have a red area that is bothering me. It is itchy, tingly, and seems to be getting more painful. I have an appointment to get it checked out tomorrow morning. I was wondering about the swab testing. Is it accurate as far as false negatives are concerned? Also, since the appt. is in the morning, should I not shower before? Would taking a shower potentially remove some of the virus and make a false neg. more likely? If the lesion-ish area was noticed this morning, is tomorrow morning soon enough to get it swabbed?
Secondly, the woman I am with has agreed to get tested. I know to get an IGG test now, but they usually take a week for the results. I read about a BIOKIT test that prints the results within minutes. Is it accurate? Is this the only test that gives results that quickly? Any suggestions or advice would be great. thank you.
