not really though since it's a steroid, it can trigger hsv2 to reoccur more often. if you are on daily suppressive therapy, I wouldn't worry about it.
you can always get prescription medications whether you have insurance or not - they just cost more.
if you don't have insurance with prescription coverage, I recommend acyclovir instead. WAAAAY cheaper than even generic valtrex and works just as well.

Of course. All people with herpes, be it HSV1 or HSV2, are eligible to donate blood. Herpes is not a blood born virus.

no, chicken pox is herpes zoster. cold sores are herpes simplex. 2 totally different viruses.

you will still get recurrences even on daily suppressive therapy but they will be less than if you weren't on it.
