what is it?

ok...i thought this would be herpes, a cold sore, but not so sure anymore. the doctor has given me two sets of medicine, neither is working. the left side of my bottom lip is throwing out yellow stuff and this yellow crust forms..and its weird, cus the crust gets thick and huge..it like sticks out of my lip..what is this?? is it herpes or just an infection? i have had it for a month now...i went to the doctor two days ago, a differnt than the first one who just said it was a cold sore and gave me pills. The doc took some blood samples this time and i will get the results back in two days.the doc also gave me some strong and expensive pills which she almost guaranteed it would go away..it hasn't..i am starting to believe this is just an infection and antibiotics will do the trick if they subscribe it to me...anyone have any idea..please help

The medications you have had only help if it's due to herpes.  I think it's time to return to your provider to have other causes ruled out. cold sores would've healed by this point with all those antivirals.

How come they didn't culture it? A blood test won't tell you much.

Your description, though, is just gross. Whatever you do, don't kiss anybody. Ick.
