which lab did you use?

One of the things I learned at the std conference this past week was that labcorp is no longer going to be using the herpes select at all for herpes blood testing. It's my understanding that you won't even be able to specifically request it like you can now :(  Knowing if your test was thru labcorp will be important info since seroconversion with the test they will be using is longer than it is with the herpes select :(   since labcorp is one of the largest labs out there in the US - this will effect quite a few posters.

Grace,

What can you tell me about the Trinity Captia test and how much longer does it take with regards to seroconversion compared with the HerpeSelect. Also, do you know when LabCorp will start offering this test?

They aren't going to use the herpes select because their biggest competitor, quest labs, bought the maker of the test.

That's awful. I used Quest for mine (or Westcliff, rather, which is a subsidiary, I think).

I'm also curious as to why they wouldn't use HS, and as to which test they've decided to use. It was my understanding that HS was pretty useful when it came to catching early seroconversion.
