Amliodopine

Have been taking amliodopine 5mg for approx 2 months, but last week increased to 10mg. Now every night I have swollen ankles and they are not comfortable. Has anyone also suffered this and if so what did they do?

Hi, the commonest side effect with amlodipine is peripheral edema. If troublesome, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
