High blood pressure

Hi im only 28 years old but my blood pressure is to high 150/100 160/110. I had tested my blood and electrolytes and they were all normal. My echo cardiogram is also normal. My doctor said its essential hyper tension. How can i deal withit? Im takinh amlodiphine 5mg once a day every morning. Tnx

Hi, I suggest you check your Kidney function. I discovered my high blood pressure due to kidney disease when I was 25yrs old now I'm 30yrs old.

Im 5"1 in heigth and 57kg weight. My fbs is in normal range. My trigly is also in normal range. But in our genes all of us is having a high blood pressure. I only take amlo 5mg. Im in to exrcse cause i want to lower any risk of complication in my BP.

Hi there. What is your diet and weight like? do you take any other meds for anything? Have you had bloods to rule out secondary causes? rare enough, but worth a look at. Did you have a kidney function test or test for blood sugar levels? How long are you taking the Amlodipine?? Did you have 24 ABPM test to get a full day BP average?
