Well I have been posting things in the wrong spot. I am just learning how too use this site. And I thank you for this advice. And Thursday will be week 4 and I am doing much better. But I had to start driving cause I am a single parent and I have to take my son to school. I did ask the Dr and she said as long as I could turn from side to side with no problem driving was okay. But I am still very bloated and seem to stay hungry for some reason.

Hi your pain is normal, it is a 6 weeks healing time for a hysterectomy,,,it will get better each and every day .It is very very important to do nOTHING no lifting, not to many stairs, no vaccuming, no bending, twisting, or carrying anything heavier than 3-5 lbs.No sex, no heat, no tub baths

that drainage should be slowing down alot by now,,,,I would advise you to phone Dr and ask if hed like to see you

I had my total hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. It was an abdominal one. I am still in a great deal of pain. And as well my abdomin is terribly swollen and kind of hard. And I have alot of draining with blood oozing from the bottom. I' didn't realize it was going to be this hard wow.

I know they allow women to wear a stomach-support band after a C-section, so it seems like they would allow it for hysterectomy patients as well.  I'd just call and run it by the nurse.  Those stomach support bands after C-sections are great.
