Bowel Resection

My husband had a bowel resection in March became very ill for 3 days after the surgery where they had to pump him for the bile and than in June had to have the gall bladder removed. Now he continues to have problem with the rectum, inside and out. He has itching and pain but has normal bowels with some IBS. Is there something that can relieve this or is it diet????

Welcome to the IBS community!  Why did he have to have a bowel resection?  Has he seen a gastroenterologist about this?
