Getting worse

I've been dealing with constipation on and off for a few years, but it seems to be getting worse. I can not seem to have a B.M without taking some sort of Lax. Without taking them I don't even have the urge to go, I have changed my diet around, I drink less coffee now, I am drinking more water and exercising more. All things my G.I doctor had suggested, but still not helping.  I haven't been to a doctor since I moved..
I am now dealing with bouts of nausea, I'm not hungry at all, I am burping all the time but having a hard time passing gas, heart burn and burning in the stomach, freezing cold, and I am tired all the time. I am not sure if this all related or not, or if I have a few things going on, Any thoughts. Thank you

I try to take it the lax as a last resort but when I haven't had a B.M in a week it seems to be the only thing that helps. Sad thing is I know I am probably doing more damage than good.
With my diet, I will be honest it still needs work, but I no longer eat fast food, fried foods is down to maybe once a month..i.e french fries. I don't drink soft drinks and I'm trying to eat more fruit and veges.
I will try your tip on drinking warm water and see if that helps. I really don't want to be on laxs anymore..it's kinda depressing.

I have had my thyroid checked a few times, and it always seems to come back okay. I still think it could be something with my thyroid thou, since with all the symptoms I mentioned before I have a hard time losing weight.

Thank you for your help, I will be trying them out

Yes, the symptoms you listed can all be related to bowel/intestinal stress. I had dealt with these issues for a few years as well and getting in the habit of taking laxatives was a bad move on my part. But I totally understand the desperation when you're in that situation.
You said you've changed your diet around. In what way? What does a typical daily menu look like for you? Exercise and lots of water great steps to help to keep it up. For me, though, warm-hot water works better than cold or room temperature. You could give that a try. Also, drinking pure aloe vera juice helped soothe my inflamed intestine from the use of laxatives, and moved things along. It's a great natural healing agent. And you don't need to keep it up forever. One bottle should be suffice.
Other helpful supplements for me were marshmallow root and slippery elm which definitely can't hurt to try.
The sooner you kick the laxie habit the better. And trust me, it IS reverseable!

Did they check your thyroid with blood tests?  A slow thyroid could cause the constipation, the cold feeling and the tiredness and the stomach issues.
