Has your GI done another colonoscopy since the last one? Or an endoscopy? He/she may be able to find something different that could be causing the pain. I had to have both to confirm chrons because it can occur anywhere in the digestive track. The pain tends to come off and on but it's terrible when it comes. I know your pain and I really do hope that you go see another GI so that the whole ordeal can be fixed. No one needs to be in that much pain.
Thank you. I already use Bentyl and hyscoamine- and a Vicodin when this happens. I also use the heat pad when I can stay in bed but typically it keeps me in the bath room. I just really want to know what it is. I can deal with the 4 hours of horrific pain because I'm not in daily pain anymore from my endo but I am hoping to figure out what this is so I can avoid it.
As your doctor for dicyclomine. I have Chrons so I get severe abdominal pain and that tends to help relax the muscles a bit. Also try putting a heat pad on your lower belly, it helps a lot! If you feel like your GI isn't helping you much get a second opinion from a different GI.
