I have been diagnosed with IBS but I have pinworms as well.

I have been diagnosed with pinworms. But in late elementary school or early middle school, I had gotten pinworms and have forgotten about them since it's been about 8 years of living with them. I do have GERD, and with the symptoms recurring, my doctor believes I have IBS. Could having pinworms for so long be the reason as to why? Or could I have both? I am trying to weigh out the outcome as to what I actually have. I see a GI doctor tomorrow, but I would like to have further information beforehand as to if pinworms could be an issue so I can address them with that as well.
