Is there any hope?

I have been an IBS sufferer since the age on 17....and I'm afraid that it may kill me one day....every 1 1/2 to 2 years i have a major IBS "attack"....it starts out with a stomachache....then diarrhea....which at any time i could handle just fine....however during an "attack"....my heart starts to beat really fast, and really hard....to the point it hurts and i feel like its going to burst (thats what i think will end up killing me)....the abdominal cramping starts to get severely painful....and i always end up on the floor curled up in a ball....lying in my own waste and vomit....lasts about 45 minutes....then i'm so weak i can't get up by myself....my eyes are bloodshot....I start to shake really hard (family member thought I might be epileptic but I don't pass out....I WISH I DID!)...my hands tighten up and curl outward....once i get all cleaned up i crash and sleep for 3 or 4 hours afterward...my immune system is shot for a few months after....ended up in the hospital 4 or five times....
...just had an episode July 12th....i had a new symptom where my whole left leg and foot when painfully numb....there's no blood in the stool....and I got tested for Celiac Desease which came back negative....I also suffer from depression and panic/anxiety disorder....I eat good...staying away from the trigger foods....i exercise 5 times a week....i'm completely healthy other than the mentioned issues...and I'm tired of the shiz I'm going through....and i've lost hope....

Thanks....I'm sorry you are dealing with these problems too....wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy....

I so understand you . My story a bit different but it effects my personnel life too. I can't play soccer anymore(since I'm starting to gasp after 5min of running) and that's after I played soccer all my entire life sometime 12 hours non-stop ,I can't drink alcohol as other kids of my age do as I feel horribly after that. By the way my first symptoms were quick pumping heart during which I was panicking and cold sweating , then block in my throat ,then diarrhea and constipation start to come . and I don't know what to believe when doctors say there is nothing wrong as I have done probably most of the available/possible tests but all came back normal(no that i'm complaining but I don't feel right and it seems that only I know that). The best what I learn is to stop thinking about the problem and try to live on, try to get out of depression, avoid stress.
What does doctors say about vomiting? This is is symptom of IBS
Any way I don't have an answer for you but I thought you will feel better knowing my story
