stomach distention

I have these bloated, distention, nausea, constipation (sometimes) for about 20 years. Colonoscopy and gastroenteroscopyn always show clear and fine. I was prescribed Amitiza 8 mg 2 years ago. There was a point that I felt ok for 3 months in a row recently. But unfortunately, it came back again. It really bothers my daily life and work. What should I do?

i have similar problems.  the thing that helped me the most was something called the specific carbohydrate diet, which is quite strict.  i was on it for 5 months -- big improvement in digestion.  however, i lost too much weight (i'm quite thin) and it was very incovenient for me.   if you can commmit yourself to it, i would highly recommend it.

also, water fasting has helped me in the past temporarily.  i've done it from one day to about 4 days.  the longer the better, but do your research beforehand

Hi, since your diagnosis was fine what was the explanation? It sounds like IBS.
