Am i beginning to have kidney failure

I havent been diagnosed with anything as of yet, however I have been told to repeat my blood tests and urine tests and I have an appointment with my doctor.  I am 18 years old and my BUN TEST WAS 22. Which was high (7-20mg/dl). My creatinine was normal , however my  BUN to Creatinine Ratio was 28 which was high. Also my potassium on a scale of 3.8-5.1 was 5.5, high. My urine results showed Leukocyte Esterase +1, WBC 10-20, Squamous Epitheral cells 6-10 which may be a UTI i have no clue. But I do know I have been feeling tired and i have been having joint pain. Is this a sign my kidneys are not working right?? I also go to the bathroom hardly....

Hi,
You haven't clearly mentioned what complaints you have in relation to the urinary tract. You have mentioned that you go to bathroom hardly. Do you mean reduced frequency or reduced quantity or both?
Any burning sensation while passing urine?
Do you have pain in the abdomen apart from feeling tired and joint pain?
Your urine test results are non-specific.Only marginally raised values. That's probably why you have been asked to repeat it.
It is too early to suggest that your kidneys are not working properly.Requires more investigations.

How is your hemoglobin? If you are tired you may be anemic. Not to scare you but the kidneys send the signal to the bone marrow to produce the hgb. I'm sure your nephrologist will give you the correct info and help put you at ease, don"t worry. BOL
