Hi,
You have mentioned that you had two days of heavy menstrual bleed (is this correct?).
Your symptoms of urinary retention and pain at the end of urination may suggest the presence of lower urinary tract infection or cystitis.I suggest that a consult with a urogynecologist be done so that proper assessment and management may be initiated. A urinalysis, urine culture, ultrasound, pap smear and complete pelvic examination may be done to rule out any involvement of gynecologic strutures as well. The presence of spotting when you have had a regular menstrual cycle always needs further evaluation.
hi hurting,
Ive had that feeling. Recently I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I was having symptoms of a urinary tract infection, but without a infection. No bacteria. Thats right, if thats what it feels like, ask your gynecologist, it regularly gets overlooked. If you have to pee a lot pain with your vulva, urgency with heaviness - your bladder still filling full, and pain in the lower abdomen-your ovary area.......call your gynocologist. Good luck to you, hope you feel better soon.
