Hello and hope you are doing well.
The basic disease which is causing the micro albuminuria needs to be tackled to control this excretion. The commonest cause for this is diabetes mellitus. ACE inhibitors improve the renal perfusion and hence improve the GFR and prevent/reduce the progression of kidney disease.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
thanks for reply.. but my query is that whether microalbuminuria is curable by this drugs telmisartan or it can be prevented only..?
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Your blood pressure, urea and creatinine levels are within the normal range. Also, you are on telmisartan, belongs to the class of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors which may decrease the rate of decline in kidney function. However, levels of microalbuminuria above 30 are indicative of early kidney disease. Am not clear about the normal ranges specified by your lab. So, please discuss the possibilities with your doctor.
