Not a queston but a warning

I just wanted to put a warning out for all to read.  My son (20 yoa) has been struggling with mono now for about a month.  He's had fevers, aches, pains, sore throat.  Everything that goes along with mono.  His fevers were getting the better of him and he would take Advil for it and the aches.  He was becoming dehydrated and then started vomiting.  The Advil did not do him any favors in this state and he went into kidney failure.  His kidney functions were at 15%.  He is now slowing regaining and they are at 32%.  But this will be a long recovery.  I just wanted to put it out there to be very careful with over the counter Advil.  Everyone, please take in moderation.  And if you are dehydrated do not take it.  The effects are dangerous.

May the lord watch over you and keep your son under his wings. I pray he is given strength enough to heal quickly. I too have a son who has suffered his whole life from respiratory disease and so I pray for your pease of mind and heart. My thoughts are with you :-)

yes, extremely worrying time.  his kidneys are doing better but he's so run down.  he was back in the hospital over the weekend with pneumonia and acute sinusitis.

Thanks for the warning about Advil. What a horrible thing to happen to your son. It must be a worrying time for you and your family. Best wishes for a full recovery.
