One kidney

Hello, I was born with one kidney. I recently moved. I have a new doctor and she informed me not to take any other meds. except regular tylenol. My question is am I able to take a cold and flu medicine? I generally don't get sick very often but, I am down with  sneezing and coughing constently both day and night. Its been three years that I had a cold like this one. I need to get back to work. Can you please help with a little advice?

Being pregnant I am on the same restriction.  Tylenol.  I would suggest homemade chicken noodle soup.  It has been proven to shorten colds.  Also a humidifier will help your throat stay moister.   Other than that I would talk to your doctor, maybe if there is no medication ask about herbal teas because some of them can help a ton.
