bladder infection for over 6 weeks

I started running the washroom more frequently and feeling 'urges' to go about 6 weeks ago. I've never experienced this and didn't feel sick so I waited for almost two weeks before seeing a doctor. He first prescribed septra for 5 days and it didn't do anything. Then Cipro for 7 days and I started feeling a little better so he gave me 5 more days of it. I thought I was doing much better but the day after the presecription ended, I started having the same symptoms. I'm now on day 3 of Macrobid but can't really say that I'm feeling better. I do have a lot of back pain on my left side only. I'm getting really down about this because every time I go out somewhere I need to leave to use the washroom.
I'm drinking pure cranberry juice and 3 litres of water a day.
When am I going to feel better!!!!!!!?

Hello, Seems my back pain has now disappeared but I'm still feeling the urgency and not getting sleep at night, since I'm in the bathroom 5 - 6 times.

I'm getting to the end of my rope with this!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

It seems you are having a bad Urinary tract infection and a change of antibiotics is not helping you out as expected.

May I know whether you are diabetic or not? May be an ultrasound and Xray of KUB region would throw some more light on your left sided back pain.

Let me know the updates.

Regards.
