Hello,

How is your father? Kidney cysts are fluid-filled sacs in the kidneys. They are almost always benign and may have no signs or symptoms. The most common type is the simple kidney cyst which can be found in older people . They are often found incidentally as in the case of your father.  They do not need any treatment. However, some become so large that and may require surgical removal. Talk to your doctor about the specific cyst present and discuss management to ease any worries.

Take care and do keep us posted.
