Mia, there is an idea that people who are left-handed or ambidextrous are more likely to have epilepsy.
Thanks for that spleen information. I was thinking if he could feel it it must be real enlarged. The dr. asked if I ever had stomach surgery and I was concerned with that. Also when I had a seizure and went to the er the dr there asked if I was left handed and I wasn't sure what to answer because I was born left handed then for to change to my right hand. Next time I will ask them why they ask certain things. I don't do well half naked in front of strangers asking me questions. lol Thanks again Mia in Miami
"it says the only way a dr can tell if it is enlarged is by doing it with his hand is if the patient is very slender"
Hi, I believe that if you go back to where you were reading, you'll see that it says that a doc can only feel a *normal* size spleen in a lean person; but if it swells to 2 or 3 times in size, it can be felt in anybody.
It would be less likely that a cancer caused your enlarged spleen. Other causes, such as an infection, would be more likely.
Good luck to you.
