Elivated Alkaline Phosphatase, AsT and ALT

I am a 38 year old woman with just being diagnosed with hypothyroid.  I had a baby 7 mos ago.  My cholesterol is221 which is normally for me 110-130 range.  My triglycerides are 318 which are usually in the 90-110 range.  My eosinophils were low at 11.  My liver levels were way up too.  Alkaline Phosphatase was 190, AST 55 and ALT 118.  Otherwise I have lower blood pressure eat a healthy diet and only have a glass or two of wine a few times a week.  I do have a history of hypoglycemia and lactointolerant.  Otherwise I had a easy delievery with all three of my children but, after my 2nd child I had my gall bladder out due to acute gall bladder disease.  Otherwise I have been very healthy.  Worried!

ANA is antinuclear antibody test.  It screens for autoimmune diseases.  Autoimmune hepatitis is and autoimmune liver disease.  AMA is a test for primary biliary cirrhosis, another autoimmune disease.  I have primary sclerosing cholangitis, simiarl to PBC but affects different ducts.

If you google all of those they can sounds scary but they aren't that bad.  I mean they aren't great but many PBCers are dx with it after finding abnormal liver tests.  The thing that really struck me was your gallbladder thing.  I had the same thing and so have several other people with PBC or PSC.  They can also cause high cholesterol.

Don't want to alarm you though.  I may be nothing.  It took me years to get my diagnosis and the sooner you know if you have it the better.  Good luck to you and feel free to message me if you'd like.  I'd like to hear what happens.

Thank you so much for your comment.  I just had an ultrasound of my liver and I will ask for the ANA and AMA.  What are they for by the way?

Fondly, BAE38

Have you had any more tests?  I would request an ANA and AMA if I were you.  Also an ultrasound of the liver to start with.  It is hard to say what it could be without more tests but your labs do warrent further investigation.

I am not a dr.  Just a liver disease patient that went through the ringer trying to figure out what I have.

Good luck!
